Installing NT4 from a Rescue Disk

Let me preface this by saying I have never installed NT before. I know how this would work with 9x, but not NT.

Now... I have an IBM Aptiva rescue disk lying around, but no Aptiva. So, would there be any way to install NT from this disk on a non-Aptiva (a home-brewed system)?

I know how these disk images work -- if it's even successful, I'll get an installation already configured for the hardware in a who-knows-when vintage Aptiva. So, after the installation, how is all the hardware reconfigured to what I have. Is it as simple in 9x? (Go into device manager, delete everything, reboot, plug-n-pray)?

Any chances this will work?

Thanks in Advance,
Jeremy
