Installing new wireless keyboard and mouse and only the mouse is working

So my friend has a new Dell computer and she wants wireless keyboard and mouse.

I set the computer up with a pair of USB keyboard and mouse, all good and then install the driver, then plug in the receiver and turn on the wireless mouse and keyboard.

Only the mouse is working, the kb is not response at all.

I check the receiver connection, everything and still only good for the mouse.

Anything I did wrong or what I need to check? TIA.

I don't really want to reinstall the driver again.

On the bottom of the KB should be a sync button. For the most part they should be connectiong to the receiver out of the box. But many times this isn't the case which is why they have a sync buttons on the KB and Mouse so they can be properly linked to the receiver. All of this should be mentioned in the included paperwork.

If you still have problems then try a new set of batterys. The included set may be dead.

mpilchfamily - I did hit that "synch" button several times and even changed the batteries (AA) but still same problem.
