I have 2 HD's now, and 2 optical drives. I assume I need a PCI card to add more HD's.......I'm looking on newegg and not finding anything....what is the part called that I need? TIA.

Search for PCI IDE. Something like this ought to work. It doesn't exactly have a lot of configuration options - you just plug the drives in, and it automatically does everything.

I have this well the Older Ultra 100 TX2 one but its the same, i have put as many as 4 drives on it before, it works great, have 2 on it now, easy to install/setup, have not had an issue with it in 2 years

before you add a pci ide card, you might want to check out your motherboard specs on the website of the company that manufactured it.

if you bought a Dell, or another pre-manufactured computer, and it is a fairly recent model, you may have an undocumented SATA connector and controller on your motherboard.

I have a Dell 4800, and it has just such a setup. i have both ide channels fully populated, but i could addd more hard drives via SATA.

you might have the same situation.
