The instructions for mounting the motherboard to the mb tray are extremely limited. I have standoffs (brass), and I have spring clips for something or other and I have two different types of screws and looks like insulating washers. Now from the mb holes that match the mb tray it is not difficult to figure out which holes to use. There is no info on how the standoffs are used (I am assuming below the mb) but which end up. What are the metal spring clips and how are they used? This is my first build and I really don?t want to short out the mb because I didn?t do something right. Is there a website that explains how this hardware is used?

Thanks

First, help others to try and help you by providing a little more info....
what kind of mother board do you have....?
What kind of case do you have...?
Have you done a search on both products? Did you do a search on your motherboard?
Did you do a search on your case?

ExtremeTech.com

Also do a search on, "installing a motherboard" there's a ton of information out there that should help you get the job done, have fun...by the way, "Welcome aboard!"

Here is a link that might help you, also the stand offs are below the motherboard threaded end into the case motherboard on top and screw into the stand off, check out the screws before you start to see which thread is correct for the stand off, I am not sure what the spring clips are have not encountered them, but read the lin it is very usefull and will help you with all aspects of building a PC and I sure you will get more help here good luck and take your time.
