Has anyone done it? I did several Google searches and came up empty.
I live on the 4th floor six blocks from the beach on a street w/heavy traffic, dirt and dust is a problem. The onshore breeze is a blessing & curse. Our building is in the process of a major retro-fit and will be finished in 12-04, this only adds concrete and drywall dust to the picture
I'm in dry So Cal.
92's would give me a positive case pressure and permit me to fit a much better air filter.
My case is a PC-601.
Has it been done? Cardboard templates show me it's possible. All large openings at the front of the case would be sealed.
For filtering medium I was going to use K&N precleaner foam. It normally is used to wrap around racing filters to stop the big chunks, it is not restictive and it's 3/4" thick.
The 200 1/8" holes would be opened up to about 3/16". I got the tooling to do a proper job of it.
Any links or thoughts are welcome.
Oh! When I do this, I will copy mechBgon's PSU wire routing pic. I got a small hole saw.
