installing google chromIUM themes

I got chromium 4.273.0, which softpedia passes off as a full package but doesn't tell you it's really the portable version.

anyways, I cannot figure out how to install a theme. the themes I downloaded each have only 1 file: default.dll. supposedly you copy that to wherever there already is a default.dll in some google folder somewhere, but I have no default.dll anywhere!

I need to know where this default.dll goes.

The "portable" Chromium is not official -- it's not made by Google. I've never used it, but perhaps themes do not work on it.

I would suggest that you uninstall the portable version of Chrome and get the official version from http://www.google.com/chrome

Then you can download themes by visiting https://tools.google.com/chrome/intl/en/themes/index.html and clicking "Apply Theme" next to the theme that you want to use.
