Installing firefox extensions system wide

There are about 6 extensions that I want to install system wide as every user on the workstation needs them installed and it's pointless to maintain each user's extensions. In addition, when an update comes around, I only have to update extensions in one place and all users are fixed.

How do I accomplish this?

This is along the lines of what I was looking for but maybe too much. Really what I am trying to accomplish is system wide extensions. I can build a package for deployment as we have the luxury of using ghost, but the updated extensions system wide is what I want to be able to do.

Am I mistaken in thinking that extensions can be installed system wide instead of user by user?
