Installing a hard drive in a Xbox 360 core

I find the pricing on 360 hard drives plain outrageous. $100 for a little 60GB drive when you can get a 640GB 7200rpm drive for the same price. It's unbelievable how much MS jacks up the price on these.

The 360 uses a 2.5" drive so that comparison isn't exactly fair. $100 would get you about a 320GB 2.5" HDD. Still outrageous though.

I got an official 120gb hdd from gamestop for ~80. You can also check ebay for cheap 120gb hard drives. $30 is worth it for the trouble and risk of doing it yourself.
