Installing a Geforce after a TNT2 : hardware or software ?

Now i have a TNt2 on my rig... I plan to buy a Geforce soon. I use the Detonator 6.50, can I just put the card and boot or must I disabble the Deonator (drivers are unified, isn't ?)THX

Uninstall drivers, shutdown pc, pull card, insert new card, turn on, reinstall drivers.

I was wondering as well as I have a gforce and had a tnt2u on my other system and ran both with the same drivers. Probably best to do as above.
