Seems to work ok, except for the fact that I cannot turn off the wireless using fn+F5 (wireless on/off on IBM ThinkPad keyboard). It gives me some wierd error ("driver incorrectly installed")

Hmm...

Edit: The card was easy to install, but the wires were too long once the card was plugged in - luckily I was able to curve them over the GPU. It was significantly annoying enough to have to do this that I think this will be the last time I buy a notebook that I intend to upgrade myself!

Next one (in 2006 at earliest, barring this one being destroyed) will be a closed system!

in a centrino system, it seems like the intel pro 2100 802.11b card is the only one that can be turned on and off.

i have the same problem after I installed the 802.11a/b/g card in my X31. But the wires where just fine and I had to do a bios update to allow me to boot. FN+5 doesn't work so I just enable and disable manually in windows. Hopefully it will be fixed in the next driver update

I just got the tri-band card for my T40. The wires were a little too long, but it wasn't too much of a problem. I didn't even use the software from the CD, I just downloaded everthing I needed form the internet. I haven't had a chance to test it with an AP yet, but Fn+F5 works fine.

Fn+F5 works fine
Working on my end now as well - the trick is to use the Access IBM Software Installer (version 2 or higher) to actually install the driver. Works like a charm now :)
