I used to use 2 in raid o. Than I sold them and got a 16 mb buffer 7200 and it seemed faster.
Now they have the Raptor 16 mb buffers they must be real fast.

What kind of software are you using in order to detect the rotations? how are you sure it's accurate? if this is the case, you might want to contact western digital. could also be your mobo bios, possibly, check it's manufacturer's website.
