okak, I got in on the iomega deal at compusa today, and soI decided to insatlwhen i got home, I installe dit fine, and then i getsome thign like this " cannot initlaize floppy drive (40)" okay and then the light on the floppy stays green. and i can't use it. This occurs when i start up the ocputer( you know when it looks for all connected device, primary ide and secondary ide.. its stays liek this the entire time even while i type this, the light stays on. if i switch the power source (the wire?) if i cahage one of em, i gte a cas latency of 2 and the same rpoblem.. I now have 2 burners on my system the iomega is master, the ricoh is slave. i sue to have ricoh as master and a generic 44x as slave.. i did change the jumper settings correctly.. Doeas anyone know what the problem can be?

Try turning the cable going into the floppy 180 degrees and boot the computer up. The light on the floppy being on all the time is usually a sign that the cable's in backwards.

Hope this helps!
