Installation NT4 same as ME?

I'm about to reformat my secondary computer with NT 4.0.

1) I wonder if the installation of Win NT will be the same as Win ME?

2) Does Win NT picky about the hardwares?

Please let me know.

Thanks in advance for replying!

Although WinNT is quite different to WinME, in general, Microsoft's setup routines have been fairly similar. WinNT's setup is most similar to Win95.

WinNT can be picky about certain hardware, because it is not fully Plug and Play, and many of the driver installation routines are like that of Win3.x....quite different to what you are used to with Win9x.

WinNT is not that picky about the major underlying hardware, ie chipset and that sort of thing, ie chipset inf drivers cannot be installed.
