Install VIA drivers, AMD 760 drivers in XP?

With Win9x I had to install all those VIA drivers, AMD 760 chipset drivers etc for my Epox 8k7a. Does WinXP automatically take care of this for me? Or do I still need to do it? My game performance seems to have dropped a little bit, wondering if it was that.

just stick with the built in via drivers in xp. everytime there is a new via driver for xp i have tried it. every time it has caused some sort of strange problem. last one i tried made it nearly impossible to play counterstrike. didn't seem to effect anything else though. another one made my burning apps freeze on me. Everytime i have tried one of the via drivers i have had to go back to the native xp via drivers to get all my functionality back. Stay with the built in via drivers in xp they are the most reliable.

No need to update.

So no upgrading is needed? Might I want to install components of the 4-in-1, or just stay away from them completely?

Just update your video card drivers, leave the rest alone. There is no need to update chipset drivers/VIA drivers etc unless you are having a specific problem.
