The RAM is non-upgradable. My experience of modern versions of Windows is not to expect the memory usage to be so different to make it a compelling argument to upgrade, and that's aside from the fun and games I've had making this tablet work at the screen's native resolution rather than the resolution that Win8x wants me to work at because its Metro apps don't work at 1024x600.
