It's tough, just because there is limited space and you really can't get in there to work. You'll have to have keys to get that factory radio out, after that it is just a matter of plugging the wiring harness into the factory harness and crimping the aftermarket radios wiring harness to the wiring harness that you bought for your car. Then mount everything in a mounting kit and slide the whole mess back into the dash. The mounting kit should just snap into the hole where your factory radio used to be.

Take your time when removing the dashboard bezels. For example in my sister's Accord I nearly broke the thing before I realized there were screws behind the clock that had to be removed. Other than that it's almost like installing a CD-ROM in your computer. Just buy the right wiring harness to match your model and year, and solder or use electrical tape to wrap the the color-coded wires together. If it's an older Corolla you might need a bracket to fit the unit in.

If its anything like my 90 celica or my mom's 94 camry...all u have to do is remove the peice around the shifter...and that may expose two screws that hold the peice around the head unit on. Then take a small flat head and pry the plastic peice around the head unit off. Careful with that...u may wanna put down a cloth under the screwdriver to prevent scratching the plastic. After u remove that..there should be 4 screws holding the head unit in. I may be way off...but thas how it was in the celica and camry.

I bought the sony headunit from 800.com
It comes with a dash installation deck. I think if i use the deck, i will have to mofidy my dash a little bit..
Will my new headunit fit into the same spot of the old factory headunit without adding additional stuff?
