I turned the PAL6035 fan around both with and without the fan shroud....The temp of my 1GHz TBird was about 2C higher with the fan blowing "in" than sucking out. Back to sucking for the Alpha!
Oh, one thing I did to make it cooler was to build a shroud and place an 80mm fan sucking across the heatsink. I first tried the 80mm by itself, but it didn't make much difference. I then placed the 60mm inside the shroud and used "both" the 80 and 60mm fans at the same time and now the temp is 4C lower than either the 60mm or 80mm fans alone...go figure
Paladin, I have the same case, how are you keeping it @25.5 c under load? Mine runs to 38C under load and 28C @ rest. FOP-38, Arctic Silver, Celeron 600@ 1026 @ 1.95 volts. Room Temp is 70F.
You don't know what kind of cpu he has, or his ambient temp, or anything. For all you know, he could be using a pelt. paladin61 hasn't given us enough info to start bragging yet.
