.... and Run It With No Internet

From last night's A.I. discussion on C2C:

Ultimately A.I. may have to have its own AT Category.

Hate their fonts and link color choices. Will stop there, no desire to ever read their articles. Plus seems half-optimized for mobile but not entirely. Much wasted space, what a crappy website design.

What was this topic about again? ;) Yeah I don't see the point of AI without internet access for its researched replies. Maybe doing simple system changes like MS is supposedly rolling into Win11 at some point, which is needed since they seem to have continually tried to obfuscate changing things one OS at a time ever since WinXP.

But why have Personal AI? There will be endless reasons, however some are:

Followed by reasons like "it's not illegal", but not really answering why on earth I would want to do this.

One application could be, keep feeding it with list of media and your scores for that media that you have been consuming over time. Depending on day of the week and time of the day or night, it might be able to predict what you should watch next, to feel good.

So, in other words, you are saying it will be better able to organize and to maximize your enjoyment of your porn collection? :)

I tried to ignore the bad styling decisions, but the first few paragraphs read like philosophical bullshit/bad writing. I have a high tolerance for pain, but this was terribad.

While it may not be illegal, understanding the purpose or benefits of such an action is crucial. Without a clear reason, it's essential to evaluate the potential consequences and consider the ethical implications before proceeding.

Whosagoodboy AI bot? Yesyouare! Yesyouare! C'mere and I'll give you a belly rub.

Ups, late to the party. You want to do this cause a lot of them are not censored.

Anyway I got one up and running last year and on a 3080ti it was dog slow.. As in 10 minutes between answers maybe… But it would tell you how to cook meth with a little patience.

I can't just google how to cook meth? Surely that would be quicker?

Yes. So we will have to come up with a reason why “googling it” is an undesirable method of acquiring sensitive information. And that’s really it. In some round about way its a very “expensive” tor browser. Yet even with tor some privacy paranoid individuals might worry you’re somehow traceable by the big brains at NSA or likewise. A homegrown unchained AI is 100% untraceable, you can run that thing disconnected and in 7 layers of faraday meshes. Its a little scary imo.

Personally I am a bit of a privacy nutter but on the other hand if I was up to evil shit I’d want “my government” to be able to track me… Its breaking that paradigm. I predict there will soon be laws regarding running unchained private AI’s. It will have moderate success at best of course.
