Inspired by the mid-90's song thread...help me identify these lyrics!

Hey, I need help identifying these mid-90's (95-97 era) song lyrics - they would have been heard on an alternative radio station (specifically Cleveland, OH, where I used to live):

The first one:
"The female lovebird species is more deadly than the male..." That's the chorus.

Second one:
"...And I've never met a girl like you before..." Also the chorus.

Sorry if these lyrics are so non-descript, but if anyone has ANY ideas about what these songs may be, please reply - it's driving me crazy!! Thanks.
