You have to look at it from the cop's point of view. They take a lot of sh!t day in and day out from motorists, criminals, and asshats like skywalker66. Say it's 2 a.m. and some asshole kid gives you a snide remark. What he did was not illegal, but it's possible that in driving away he's trying to lead you somewhere dangerous (i.e. skywalker66 could have been a rabbit, as far as the cop might have known). As he sits in his driveway, what's to say there isn't a crime going on across town that he was trying to lead the cop away from?
So the officers search his car in order to possibly glean any evidence as to why he did what he did. Sure, they were a bit forceful, but skywalker66 gave the cop an unsolicited smartass remark late at night in the middle of a dark road. He deserved to be inconvenienced, yelled at, and possibly arrested depending on state laws that deal with interfering with a traffic stop.
He got what he wanted - a strong reaction from the cops. Now that he got some sort of reaction, he's crying about it. Methinks skywalker66 hates cops and tries to harass them because he wants to get a forceful reaction from them and then cry foul about it.
Sometimes you get what you wish for.
And, this kid calls himself a god-fearing Christian? What happened to loving your fellow man? I understand that Christians are allowed to not like people, but this police officer had never talked to him before and was simply harassed by skywalker66 out of NOWHERE. I'd like to see what Jesus would have done in that situation. I bet He would have kept driving.
