Ive never heard tell of Sparkle being ATI's reference manufacturer. (i also doubt it since Sparkle doesnt make any retail cards that use ATI)

I always thought it was Sapphire.

I think it is Sapphire and he was confusing the names.

doesn't matter to me. If it's reference design it is reference design. Otherwise I look for the best custom design. The warranty is a minimum of 2 years by law here in Denmark, so if anything should happen, you would just get a new one. One of my friends had a 4870x2 failing after 1.5 years, and he got a 5870 as replacement, he was very happy. 🙂

I'm going with what this guy says. Its not like any of these companies make the gpus, and all the reference PCB's are identical.

Warranty is about the only thing that differentiates them and as I buy from places that handles the RMA's themselves rather than the manufacturer it makes this choice pretty redundant.

My most recent cards have been EVGA, XFX and ASUS, and I'll probably buy one of those three next upgrade if the price is competitive. That being said, I usually just buy based on price and have never had a video card fail on me out of warranty.

I've had EVGA, XFX, Galaxy, MSI, BFG. They all worked just fine and I ran all of them hard. I haven't found any brands less reliable than others.
