I don't know what's happened to me since thanksgiving, but I have not been able to sleep. I don't know if it's due to stress (finals and going to South America in about 4 weeks) or what, but all I can do is toss and turn at night. I don't know if I've gotten my internal clock off base and a few sleeping pills a few days in a row could straighten me out or not.... this is driving me crazy..... writing this as of 5:40 AM Thursday morning.... been trying to fall asleep since 11:30 last night.... please give any advice if you can.

make sure your room is quiet and dark, lie down on your bed, and purposely try to keep your eyes open as long as possible. that usually works for me.

Did you see a hot cousin of yours during Thanksgiving and been thinking about hitting it non-stop?

Valerian root helps some people sleep (walmart supplement section). Ethanol also helps some people sleep. If those don't work, then see a doctor. The key is to find something to help you relax. Try watching a movie you like but have seen a million times.

Definitely time to try some medication if you have only slept 10 hours in a week, kinda surprised you didn't try some sooner. Benadryl could help. There are a lot of over the counter sleep meds out there, just go to walgreens or some place like that. If sleeping problems continue to some extent, you should see a doctor, but you probably wouldn't be able to get in for month or two.

i say go see a therapist before yo go see a medical doctor... a medical doctor will probably just subscribe you sleeping pills. there's obviously more at play that you need to have figured out, though... get to the root of the issue so you won't have to dick around with pills that you might not need.

Take some Melatonin, a couple shots of Jack Daniels, and jack off before bed.

even navy SEALs get more sleep than you. go see a doctor if it continues after taking sleeping pills or horse tranquilizers.
