<< i sleep about that much at night, but i usually take a nap during the day, like after school.. you should try that >>
Yeah, I've been know to take naps a lot, except today, I'd lie down, and somone would be calling me, knocking on my door, breaking something, fighting with a siblnig, etc. Not fun times
i've been averaging 5-6 hours of sleep lately.. i can never go to bed on time at night.. and then cant ever wake up and be functional in the morning. It does suck.
I find that naps are what screw me up. It's just a big cycle - I don't get enough sleep the night before so I take a nap during the day and then I can't sleep that night.

Although it is perfectly reasonable to try and self-remedy irregular sleep habits, by making some changes in your life-style, trying to hit the sack and wake up on a reasonably consistent and regular schedule, avoiding caffeine for a few hours before bed, and other common sense measures, there are sleep and circadian rhythm disorders that are not easily self-remedied and truly require medical intervention.
Contrary to popular belief, not all poor sleep habits are the result of some lack of discipline or a character flaw. There are treatable medical conditions that are totally transparent to the untrained person which can cause night insomnia and day time somnolence (drowsiness, sleepiness and fatigue).
So, if you're not 'dealing' with it and it is adversely affecting your life, go to your doctor.
Yeah, I was having the same sort of problems a while ago. Went to the doc, he told me to exercise more. So I now go to the gym at least four times a week, and it helped for a while. Unfortunately, it's gotten worse than it originally was, so I think I'm gonna go back, cause 1am to 6am every weeknight just ain't cutting it.
