I've recently seen him in Closer, Sin City and Children of Men: loved him in all three. How is Derailed? The 6.5 score on IMDb seems fairly average.

Derailed was a killer movie, in large part due to Owens performance.

RZA's character could have been cast or acted out better, but it was the only weak performance I saw. Even Xibit kicked ass in that film.

The ending was a bit drawn out and "convenient", but otherwise ok.

Dude, real men don't say "oodles," Do you think Clive motherfucking Owen would ever be caught dead saying that word? No.

I think my favorite part of his is Children of Men. He plays it so stoically, but you know there is a raging inferno going on inside him that only rarely breaks through the surface. He really deserves to get an Oscar soon.

I agree with the general sentiment that both Denzel and Clive Owen are two of the biggest "can't miss" actors out right now. It was a foregone conclusion that any movie with the two of them was going to be riveting for the entire showtime. I agree that the ending let me down a little, but overall it was a great movie.
