My dad has been saying that Inside Man was a good flick, so we watched it together thanks to Comcast On Demand. The first hour or so was really quite well done. It was all buildup and had some very cool performances and setup of the situation which was a bank robbery. I was really digging it. It really didn?t feel too much like a Spike Lee movie until one scene where Denzel?s character does that stupid floaty character move Spike likes to put in his movies (that I can?t stand). You also had your bigot cops, your stereotyping, and general racial tension, but it wasn?t as heavy handed as most of his other movies.
Anyways, as I said the buildup was great? but then the climax and conclusion really just were kinda bland and a let down. It was almost like they thought the movie was getting too long, so they sped up the story and rolled credits.
Overall it was a good movie, but I just wish there was a better finale. What did you guys think?
