Insert Valid Boot Media Issue

I took apart my computer to dust it out but when I tried to boot it again, it reported that it wanted valid boot media.

The SSD that it is supposed to be booting from is fully recognized by the BIOS correctly and I've plugged it in to another computer and it is still in 100% working condition.

I've tried using startup repair however, it doesn't recognize the OS that is installed in the SSD, and mbr fix and such didn't fix anything.

How do I do a "dirty" install over the current OS to try and fix this? Or is there something I am missing to try and fix this issue past a OS install?
 
What does the boot priority look like, and what board is this?
Make sure there isn't something in a higher rated boot item, such as a disc in the DVD drive.
Make sure you plugged the drive into the same SATA controller (port ideally) you took it out of.

It wasn't any of those issues.

For some reason, the partition had unactivated itself and so I had to go into diskpart and manually reactivate it.

It worked fine for 1 boot, than on a reboot, I kept getting machine check errors so I ended up reformatting anyway.

The reformat was a success with the caveat that this morning I turned my desktop on and my monitor is not recieving a signal from either the integrated graphics or the dedicated graphics.

This is annoying.
 
At this point, I think it would be helpful to know what your computer is comprised of (parts), and how long it has been running in the current configuration.
Any problems before you cleaned it? The hard drive issue could be a problem, but it may not be just the hard drive at fault.
What version of Windows is this?
If you open the case, are all the fans spinning (video card, cpu, etc)?
One thing you may want to try is taking out the video card and seeing if it will boot just off the onboard. If that doesn't work you might try a clear CMOS.
 
It's a computer thats run mostly rock solid for 2 years now. A few BSOD's on the way but nothing like this.

i5 2500k
Asrock z68 mobo
8gb of RAM
ATI 5870

There weren't any issues at all at last time it was working fine, which is why im so confused right now as to the issues.

Everything is running perfectly well, judging by the fact that I can hear the computer reaching the login screen. It's just that this morning, randomly the monitor isn't getting a valid signal from either port.
 
See if the fan in the video card is spinning. What power supply do you have? And did you have the Intel graphics enabled in the BIOS and installed in Windows before this problem occurred?
 
Video card is spinning and working. Power supply is an Antec 500w PSU. I was actually running on integrated last night because I actually couldn't get the catalyst drivers installed and was working perfectly fine.
 
Makes me wonder if there is a RAM or hard drive issue here, if drivers all of a sudden stop working. Had you done a recent update?
 
Well, because it was a reformat, I updated everything.

The SSD is working perfectly fine because as I said, I can hear it reaching the login screen.
