I'm pretty sure we'll see an official 81.82 driver released oct. 5th while hardwaresites have had a pre-release with NDA to play around with.
 
Nope.... and i am not sure if running the 1800xt @ 625/1500 would get the fps above the 7800gtx. Im really really looking forward to the final product with final drivers launched as well. Though i am buying the 7800GTX for 90%.
 
That article has already proven to be pure BS, the author has a bone to pick with ATi. BTW, the ATI won't just be quicker (and by more than you guys think!) than the 7800's, they will have a feature list that puts the 7800 to shame!
 
Like??? If the card will be that could i may stop the order of the 7800 and wait for the r520 or even r580 - well unless the g80 is even better that is! Any news on the r520 features Martrox?

R520 features:

-H264 video acceleration
-512mb mem
-HDR that works with AA
-Ability to do full fledged AF, not angle-dependent (we'll have to see if this is true)

I'm sure there's more, we'll just wait and see
 
512mb mem doesnt do much in games - maybe in DOOM3 it does - beside the 7800GTX is also to come out as a 512mb version. But whats im more interested in is the H264 video acceleration - hows that going to improve playing games?
Doesnt HDR work w/ AA also by 7800? Ill search some sites... 😉

Thats all nice gsellis - but i would prefer real gamebenchmarks and not only some graph - at best the XT would be out ASAP...
