inputs on farming.

guys,
I plan to start a farm in India and I was wondering if I could get any info about farming in general like soil quality and basically get the process going. Please do let me have your suggestions. thanks

Well, I will give you my input and then you can decide for yourself.

My grandmother and grandfather used to have a farm. My grandfather would work on the side doing mechanical and tool and die stuff because the farming business just didn't have the profits. In order to make money, they needed to buy more land. There were some bad seasons, but there were good seasons as well.

I do also know that there are a fair amount of tax writeoffs you can do if you have a farm.

As for soil quality, I would have to assume you would need good quality soil. Something that matches what you are trying to grow.
