Need a new GPU (Singlecard) due to the fans on my 660SLI setup drives me crazy.
Gaming is done @ 1920x1080@60Hz, mostly World of Tanks but occationally some FPS games.

Current Specs:
- Mobo: Sabertooth x58 s 1366
- CPU: Xeon X5680 @ 3.33MHz (6c-12t)
- RAM: 12GB DDR3
- Cooler: Dark Rock Pro 3
- GPU: 2 x 660 2GB SLI
- PSU: Bitfenix Whisper 750w
- Chassi: Phanteks Eclipse P400
- HDD´s and SSD´s

The following used GPU´s are available for purchase at $~135-$220:
- GTX 780Ti ( ~$135)
- GTX 970 ( ~$150-160)
- ASUS GTX 1060 6GB Dual OC (~$210-220)
- AMD R9 Fury Nitro ( ~$?, probably ~$250)

Which one would you say fit my system best w/o creating bottlenecks? Don´t mind the price!
I´m on the verge of getting the 1060 but thought i´d ask before doing something stupid!!

Please advice me!

Your processor might be a bottleneck anyway, but a small VRAM would be a worse bottleneck. Some games already go past 4GB and more will, going forward. Get the 1060 6GB, or a 480 8GB if you come across any. Make sure to check some reviews for noise.

Agreed for the most part, the 1060 would be the best buy of those choices. If the Fury were a bit cheaper it would also be a good option, 4GB should be good for 1080p I think. A used 480/580 would also be a decent option, depending on price. However, whatever card you get in that range, I would recommend OCing that awesome xeon, it will help.

As a GTX 970 owner, I can say with some certainty that with a little OC effort, you can match or exceed 1060 OC cards in real world performance (depending on OC/cooling). So if you want to save some money, grab a second hand GTX 970. I see them on Craigslist for $120 all the time. To be honest, I wouldn't pay the current asking price for a 1060 this late in the season. Yes, we're still several months away from Volta and Vega11/12, etc. but IMO we're close enough.

Think i´ll probably try a mild OC if it´s needed. Let´s just say i´m no OC guru.... But i guess i could find some guide, do a little "monkey see - monkey do" and maybe get it to ~3.6 or 3.8GHz w/o damaging anything beyond repair!?

As stated above, i´m not that experienced with oc-íng anything. And i guess heat might be an issue when oc-ing which might get me back to square one with noisy fans!?
Guess i could get a Strix model but let me assure you they do not sell for $120 i Sweden. Try $170-190 and you might get a 970 Strix or similar.
US i way cheaper when it comes to computerparts. Guess you don´t have lameass environment taxes on electronics based on weight, taxes to copyright holder on everything that you can store data on whether you do or not, 25%VAT and to little competition and sale to do anything substantial on prices from the big producers!? Amazon.com, NewEgg and Craigslist are phenomena heard of but not usable beacause of the same 25%VAT+customs on imported electronics.
Amazon.de is possible to shop from but the prices are high there aswell!

Sorry for my English but i hope you understand what i mean!? :p

Thanks for all info!

Don't get the 970. It's last gen, it will struggle in DX12, and has a weird memory set up. I would take a 1060 6GB or 480/580 8GB 10 times out of 10 instead of the 970. Definitely dont go with the 780 Ti either.

Most prices are negotiable. If you can get the 1060 around $175 or the Fury around $210 go for it. I would touch the 970/780ti for less than $110, and only if I planned on replacing when volta came around.

Got the 1060! Works great but is a little bit limited by the CPU. So far it doesnt matter but eventually ill do a slight oc if i get how to. Need to oc via the FSB on this CPU since it has locked multiple..

Nope s1366 is what I have. Seen a lot of people oc x56xx cpu's and guess the do it by increasing the FSB. Since I'm a total noob at this I ran a autotune in Intel extreme utility and got the cpu up to 3.81GHZ stable. For some reason the settings didn't stick after reboot but at least I now have a FSB setting to try in Bios.

Yes sir, there are a lot of good overclocking guides out there for your CPU, 3.8 sounds about right. It should help

4+ even should be fairly easy with that board and decent cooling.

I run my 5650 at 3.8, beyond that adds more heat and voltage for not much benefit in IMO. Combined with a R9 290 it ran Battlefield 4 and other games great, but I haven't used it in anything newer since I moved to X99 two years ago.

I would go with the 1060. It will get drivers support longer. More VRAM in case you upgrade to 1440p - 3840p. New warranty. Definitely will not bottleneck.

Else, save the money, get the 970, use the saved money for a full motherboard, RAM, CPU upgrade.

EDIT: My bad looks like I am late to the party...
