These days you must wait for the ad pop up space above - the whole forum moves down several clicks depending on ad size.

Ghostery is more like blocking scripts. I think uBlock is far more powerful. Just make sure you use uBlock and not uBlock Origin. I had trouble with Origin.

I have a forum (wish it was more popular LOL) and I work off donations. I always hated the ad system based crap and believe you are what you are worth. Just like how you do a job for a company. You are payed for said skills and work output.

Anyway....

I used to use Adblock Edge for Pale Moon (my browser) updated and Adblock Edge wasn't supported anymore so I had to use Pale Moon's Adblock Latitude. I have a netbook with Pale Moon installed and had Adblock Latitude. But when I launched the browser it would take at least 10 seconds to load and another 7 seconds for the browser to stabilize so I could surf. I installed ublock and now the browser loads in about 4 seconds and is stabilized in about 2 seconds. HUGE difference. So when they say it's light on resources and faster they really mean it.
