Ok...Ive read around and most people that have this card and theres is about 60 to 80'C, Can anyody tell me why mine is so hot?
Stock speeds and stock cooling, 67'C Idle, ran the "RTHDRIBL" - "http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/rthdribl/index.html" for about 1 hour, and also 3DMark01SE and Aquamark, and 100-103'C is the highest temp on all of them, the fan is working fine on the card...what could be causing the high heat?

How is the venilation in the case? Is the computer located out of the area of all heat sources (i.e. heaters, direct sunlight, etc.)?

There's 2 80MM fans on the case at about 3000RPM, one in the side and one in the back, its nowhere near a heater/radiator/sunlight or any heat source. My processor never goes above 40'C so i figure the case isnt that hot...but im probably wrong there :p

The heatsink may not be attached to the card properly, I would call Inno3D and see if you can RMA this one.

Yeah, same here.

Another option is to get an Arctic Cooling NV Silencer 5 cooler, as well as some Arctic Silver 5 thermal paste. This WILL void your warranty however, and unless your willing to take that risk, just RMA your card. If your case is well ventalated, and nothing else seems abnormally hot, then the card is most likely to blame.

I have a BFG 6800GT with the "custom copper cooler" and currently I hit about 88 C playing HL2. I also have a well ventilated case. I recently switched mobo's and at the time I removed this little fan that I had which was attached by a metal brace to the expansion slot brackets at the back of the case. You can see what I'm talking about here. From what I remember, my GT did have lower temps with that installed. I pulled it out for noise sake ;) I believe I had the 80mm one.
That's just a thought, but an NV5 Silencer is the best way to go. I have one waiting for me to install it and I plan on doing benchies before/after & posting here. Look for them probably after this weekend
