Inland USA will not be safe if we threaten N Korea

not sure if its old news or not....i just heard it on the radio...they are telling the US that if we threaten them in any way our inland wont be safe...they have the ability to strike us...long range nukes?

Woks? I know it was a joke but we don't use woks.

No nukes capable of reaching the mainland. They may have missiles capable of reaching Alaska (rumored to be in development).

I'm not sure about that, but I am sure that none of North Korea will be safe if North Korea threatens the US.

I don't think so...

I'm on the East Coast so I know they can't get me..they might be able to hit Alaska but that would be it...and if they were we would just make a glass parking lot out of them and give it back to South Korea

That's like getting a threat from Gary Coleman to kick your ass. One naval air carrier group and a MEU would probably be sufficient to take on North Korea at this point. Juche as a political philosophy has reduced them to the point of paleolithic hunter-gatherers, we'd have to bomb them forward to the stone age at this point. Their army, although large in size theoretically, is so pathetically equiped (not to mention malnourished like the rest of the country), that unless they were invading a McDonald's, i don't think they'd even be capable of meaningful military aggression.... the rank and file (and probably most of the senior leadership) would tell the Central Committee to go f**k themselves.

maybe they have a couple suitcase nukes inside the us...or perhaps they have some other unconventional way of attacking us. THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS!

Yep,

Maybe we should all assume the fetal position under our beds and hope those big bad N. Koreans don't get mad at us.

For crying out loud.

I don't live too far from a statigic target. One night I awoke to very strange sound coming my way through the sky--like nothing I've ever heard before.
So I'm thinking "Sh!t, I hope that's not warheads coming." Turned out to be a C5A flying slowly about hundred feet off the ground right over my house.

I have the solution for our little "North Korea" problem.... I daresay our little "situation" could be neatly taken care of in short order. We just start with the recognition that the entire North Korean army has been eating dirt and tree bark the last 40 years. That leads us to our new secret weapon....

Huge mousetraps baited with Big Macs placed outside every military installation. "The humane solution."

I think there are several difficulties in fighting N.Korea:

a) China might get in on the action. They did during the first Korean War when U.N. forces were close to crossing the Yalu.
&
b) they can easily infiltrate S.Korea. It will be difficult to dinstinguish between friend and foe. I can tell a N.Korean from a S. Korean because of the different accent but I doubt an American soldier could, especially during the heat of battle.

Also, Korea is a very small nation. A nuke that turns N. Korea into a "glass parking lot" would likely have effects on S.Korea as well (Seoul is only about 40 miles from the DMZ). If we do use nukes, it'll probably be tactical ones.

N. Korea will always be a threat to us, starvation is the answer. We must starve them of everything until the populace realizes they have nothing to lose if they rise up.

well i dunno too much about this, but i think war would be best accomplished by taking out their government? from what i've heard, it's not like the people there are particularly attached to it...

Is NK a nuclear power now? Even if it is comporably it isn't to the US. Once Bush's defense program comes up countries with a few nukes can't do anything anyway. NK would be taken off the map if they tried it.

Hey, I have a radical idea!!!! Let's have Canaduh deal with the N. Koreans. They had so much success in Afghanistan recently, plus I understand they have a sub (complete with hockey sticks) and a tank (saw it in a sig!!). Gooooooooo Canaduh!!!
