I got a Lexmark cartridge thats fits an old Lexmark 1020. Its one where you can only have color or black at a time. I put the black in a ziplock bag while the color was in there and apparently it has dried out. Is there anyway to save it by filling it or somehow getting the end opened if it dried in the jet end? Any little tricks I might can pull? If not whats the cheapest place to buy a cartridge? thanks

:) I have had some success with Hp cartrige by running the print head under hot water. Don't know if that will work for you, but you don't have anything to lose by trying.

I looked around that site and it deals mostly with printer problems and not with dried up catridges. Anyway, I noticed that the particular cartridge I am dealing with says it is waterproof black ink. I think this rules out the hot water idea although I am trying it right now and just gonna see if the hot water will do anything. I saw on that site about some solution for cleaning the heads but it doesn't mention what it is. What does anyone think about trying to put the end of the cartride in some nail polish remover and let it soak for a bit? I'm gonna try. Any other suggestions are welcome. thanks
