ethernet card you mean? well, do you have the module loaded? if not, then "modprobe <modulename>", then just ifup eth0 or eth1 or whatever it is.

No, he means internet card. Its a new piece of hardware that keeps the whole internet on it. So if your computer didnt come with the internet pre-installed you can buy the internet card and install it yourself. Or pay CompUSA/BestBuy $300 to install it for you. 😉
