Initial Load - SATA issues

Hey all this is my first post and was wondering if you could help me out?

I am trying to load my system with Windows XP and am running into a problem when I try to load my SATA drivers. I have a Gigabyte mobo (K8NS Pro) with a WD SATA 80GB 10,000 RPM. I have got the drivers from Gigabyte and put them on a floppy. I boot up to the CD and press F6 while loading. It does it's usual thing by asking for the driver on the A: drive. It sees the driver and allows me to pick the driver for WinXP/Server 2003. Goes back to the screen to specify the device...which I already did, so I hit enter. It then goes to the part for formatting the drive...I format the drive and it starts to copy the contents from the CD. When this starts, it gives me the error stating that it can't find the "si3112.sys" file...which is the one from Gigabyte for the SATA. I have tried different drivers, floppies and even trying to skip the file...but nothing works. When skipping the file, it copies everything fine but on reboot, gives the blue screen of death. So here I am, asking for help.

Sorry about the long post but wanted to give full details of what's happening.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Without downloading and perusing your manual, all I can say at this point is that there are two different chips that control SATA ports. Make certain you have the correct drivers for the chip your drive is connected to.

Two are controlled by the nForce3 250, and two by the Sil3512.

For whatever reason, part of the text appears truncated in that link. But it still works (actually doesn't). Kind of confusing on this one.
