INGDirect

Da-amn. I was on hold for like .35 seconds....

The women caught me off guard😛 I was like "wha..that was fast.."

She giggled😱

<---new (and very impressed) customer😀

INGDirect is one of the best things I have ever had to deal with. Customer support is amazing, and 2.35% interest rate makes me happy.

I just need to make a $10million and leave it there, leeching off of the interest...

Easier said than done🙁

I had $32 in my ING acct since the last time I checked... in like 2003. I'm making mad money yo !

I just don't want to deal with the transferring or depositing of an ING acct.

Anyone use ING for anything other than the 2.35% savings account, i.e. for their IRAs, etc. I was thinking about opening a Roth IRA - but I have to invest in their funds - not sure I want that restriction.... any thoughts?

Nope, I use Scottrade for Roths.

Also, getting 3.05% interest from Liberty Bell Bank in NJ on savings account 😉

I have an account with ing.. but for some reason something went bad with the linkup.. so i'll have to fix it when i get home. Still debating between scottrade or ing for a ira

i started an account there in 2001 and had totally forgotten about it (only put $10 in)...i called them up and had my account back and active within 15 mins. There cust service is AMAZING and for me it has included all people fluent in ENGLISH (not some bastardized version, real true american english).

The only thing I'd caution is dont call em up too much, theres an article in my local paper a while back that said they've been known to cancel accounts of cust who are a nusance to deal with or ant figure out their service.

What also impressed me about the phone system is the live agent actually transfers you to an automated system for authentication of your PIN, then you get transferred back to them. No way for a human to intercept your PIN with this process! I was definitely liking that.

ING rocks! Got all my savings with them.
Really easy to transfer money in and out if I need to. No fees, no minimum balance, excellent rates.. just plain awesome.

No catch except you have to live in NJ, I live in MD and told them I'm on a temp contract (which is partly true). You just have to be able to prove you live in NJ by showing them mail with your name on it (luckily my mom lives there so I still get some stuff). Other than that, no catch except you have to have your work DD your check into the account to get the 3.05%.

I've put a ton of money in, but I have yet to try and take any out. Any idea how long it'd take me to withdraw, say $15k? Is there a bunch of security checks, or will it show up in a day or so to my tied in checking account?

No security checks (at least whenever I've xferred money back out to my regular checking account). I would allow 5 business days for the money to xfer. It just takes a few clicks from your account page to do it.

What would a referal do? Give you higher rates?

Damn, those Orange CDs look good. I'm gonna get some of that.
