@%!%()'ing packaging

Can someone explain to me why they use packaging like this ? It took me literally 10 minutes to get it out. And I practically cut my left finger on the hard plastic. As you can imagine, I had to use a blade AND scissors around all the wires. WTF were they thinking ?

Nah, I think it's just cause they're cheap bastards and this is the most economical solution. Either way, if it took me 10 minutes with the right tools, they kinda over-did it.

Cheap bastards ? Those packaging are so damn sturdy and they have those magnetic strip things located inside of it usually for anti theft devices.
Why not get a pair of scissors ?

Blister packs SUCK.

I feel sorry for the elderly that have a hell of a time getting them open.

Maybe it took you 10 minutes with the wrong tools. 😉

This is what I use. It usually opens the package up pretty easily.

I did use scissors in addition... around the wire areas. No other choice. I hardly think these are very sturdy in the protective sense. There wasn't even space in there where it would absorb a nice fall onto concrete face first. They need to stick with a box and some styrofoam.

Oh, man, I absolutely HATE that type of packaging! I'm with vi_edit - even with scissors, an elderly person is going to have a difficult time getting it open.

And on the off-chance you might need to return something, they are irritated that you mangled the package. Hey, make it possible for me to open it without having to destroy the package, and I'll do it!

i hate those things. i always end up just ripping them down the center and having all sorts of jagged edges poking me and generally making the thing look so crappy i would never be able to return it.
