ING Direct

Thinking of setting up an ING Orange Direct account.

anyone have any input on them? I understand that its not a physical entity rather its kinda an online bank. My brother has an account and gives it a thumb up.

trying to get in the habit and saving and stashing money.

I want to open 12 cd's, one each month in the amount of 250 for the first year. after the first year i was going to have my account pull 25 from my actual checking account that way as each cd matures, i would renew it with that money and the final balance of the mature cd so it would continue to revolve and roll over...

am i making sense? lol

Way too complicated, just set it up to automatically withdraw so much a month and be done with it.

yea it is a bit complicated, but for me 25 a week doesn't hurt as much as 100 at the end of the month... dunno why i just 'feel' it more

Why go there when other banks have better rates?

right now their rate for a 12 month loan is 3.75, no one around me has that rate i believe and i checked with credit unions as well
