OK, so HSBC direct is 5.05% APY, and ING is 4.35%. The former seems like the better deal. Anyone have any bad experience with the former where I should keep the latter instead?

I've been wondering if a new HSBC account (replacing ING) is worth the trouble myself....

I switched from ING to HSBC and I'm happy. The extra APR makes up for the slower transactions at HSBC.
It's worth giving it a try.

the positive of HSBC is that at least you can withdraw with an ATM card.
