Nope especially when corporate B&M banks are < 1.00%

Even my CU is under 1% unless you have $10,000.00 then it's 1.00%

LOL

My Vanguard MMA is at 4.01% yield now.

I just earned $4.30 from just half of December.

just signed up with ING Direct last week, part of my New Year's resolution to save more money (other than spare change :p).

Fast and easy, although I timed it poorly and I have to to wait till the end of this holiday weekend for the security check desposits to post to my checking account, so I can activate the account fully.

OT (sorta), but when did ING start requiring a $250 "initial" deposit to receive the sign on bonus? (That was stated on their website after I sent a referral today)

If you're looking at a higher yield savings account, having less than $250 in there is worthless.

Sadly, my ING account is still gaining more interest than my mutual funds. :(

I think I've done OK with my mutual funds, 10.7% gain between April 15th when I opened up the account and Dec. 30. Diversity FTW :)

While true, I still want my referral bonus ($10) for those who do sign up regardless of "their" initial depost! :D

It's just not worth it for ING to just give out money like that if people aren't depositing 'enough'. :)

We just gave away our last ING referral, might look into an HSBC or Presidential account now.

heh if they had done this like a couple months ago, i might not have moved out most of the five figure amount or whatever i did.

Emigrant hasn't raised their rates for a long time now.

I'm thinking about moving part of my money into ING managed mutual funds, but while reading through the prospectus, it seems like the 3.8% from the Orange savings account is better than the funds!

Someone please correct me if I am wrong.
