Infrared Hot !!!

Infared ray... that can't be healthy. What ever happened to a simple usb cig lighter rolling across your forearm?

Wow. Wierd stuff. I could see this sort of thing being potentially used by an athletic trainer or re-habilitation nurse or something though.

Or if you're at a football game, in the cold, in the snow. Just whip out your PDA, and plug this thing into the USB port (probably would require a micro-USB adaptor). Voila! Warm wrists.. for approx three seconds, until it completely drains your PDA's batteries.

(That brings up a good question, how much heat can this thing actually put out, if a USB port's power is limited to 500mA ?)

Aren't Carpal Tunnel injuries caused by swelling of the tendons as they pass through the tunnel- meaning you need to cool it down to reduce the swelling, not heat it up? I could be wrong, but that is my understanding of it.

People will buy anything.

Am I missing something?

Isn't a "far infrared" emitter the same thing as a heater?

If a USB is 500 mA and the voltage is 12 V, you a sizzling 6 watts!

Not a hot deal, tepid a best.

Typically with injuries you use ice first to reduce swelling and pain, and later heat to promote healing. (Not to say that this product is any use).

I'm holdin out for the USB powered dog groomer, and a USB powered carpet trimmer would not be a bad idea while their at it. Either one will be a swell addition to my USB powered blender/esspresso machine.

Dude! I just got a new USB-power automobile! But the cord is kinda short, can only take it around the block.. unless I throw my laptop into the car, and then plug the car into the laptop, that is.
