After some discussion and a poll the TeAm AnandTech Committee has been formed to perform the following duties:

1) Create a mutually acceptable (secure) password which will be used to ...
2) Create a forum member account using the committee name and password.
3) Create a team profile on BOINC using the committee name and password.
4) Assimilate the existing founder positions on all of the projects.
5) Transfer the ownership of the DC Welcome thread to the committee for updating.
6) Transfer the ownership of the Comprehensive BOINC Project List thread to the committee for updating.
7) The committee will post information or polls about team-wide topics.

The TAC consists of the following members:

Rudy Toody - Chairman of TAC
Smoke - the wise one of TAC :)
Petrusbroder - the verbose one of TAC ;)

Edit October 8, 2007:
The e-mail address of the TAC is:
Please feel free to mail us if you have any concerns about the way the committee works, about the BOINC Team, the Welcome-thread or the Comprehensive BOINC Project List. You can of course always send a PM to any of the TAC members ...

In this post we will post contact information, proposals for a common profile for TeAm AnandTech in the different BOINC projects, when TeAm AnandTech has been founded in specific projects and other pertinent information.

Any suggestions helping the committee to do its duties, any ideas which will strengthen the TeAm's profile and help to increase membership will be much appreciated.

Please feel free - the TAC is for all the crunchers of TeAm

I've been thinking DC needed a T&A committee for a long time...

If we devote our time to T&A, we will never get any work done.:D

LoL - yeah I got that ... but it is close: two teachers associate ... :) ;)

Now back on topic:

The TAC has started to discuss an agenda, a way to get the common team organized and the first draft of the new "Welcome Thread" is being composed.
It will be put up for discussion when it is more ... mature. ;)

Unlike us, who never mature. As my wife tells me, how can you have a 2nd childhood when you haven't left the 1st one! :Q

Thanks for all the work, TAC!

:D

We are working on a revised Welcome-thread, on the password-system to be used, and are thinking about how to organize the transfer of the BOINC-TeAm to the TAC. It ain't that easy ...

Here are some news:

1. Smoke has decided to retire from the TAC for "Real Life" reasons. He will support the TAC from his seat as Mod.
2. RudyToody and I propose that Tom Philippart joins the TAC. He is willing to do that but expressed some hesitation:
I was not elected
. Does this cause a problem with anybody? Fardringle has been asked too and he seems even more reluctant ...

Please post here with comments!

OMG!!! Not elected? Nepotism, bypassing due process...OMG!!! :Q

;);)
:D

Nah, doesn't cause a problem with me, I think Tom Philippart and Fardringle would be good choices. :D

But if it will make everyone feel better that it's fair, we could do a quick vote. :)
