So iOS > Android, right?

Each side has its own merit, I think, and some of the things said on either sides are plainly untrue.

It is also to note, according to the source, that the majority of participants in the survey were iOS users, so if anything, the iOS side tends to be more accurate than the Android side, or that's how I look at it.

I've seen a grown man riding a pink children's bike on a sidewalk while talking on an iPhone 4 before.

So what happened when I sold my iPhone 3G for a Dell Streak and then sold it for an iPhone 4?

What happens when I buy the iPhone 4S / G / 5?

The sound you probably just heard out your window was the sound of your moderator putting his head in his hands, shaking his head and groaning.

I knew that this thread wasn't headed anywhere, but never did I think it was heading there...

LOL, the infographic is just silly and trollbait, my response is about as much respect as it deserves.

(not talking about the OP, am talking about the company that slapped the data together, I almost posted it a couple days ago, but thought it was pretty inflammatory, didn't want to risk starting a flame war)

Seems very accurate. It just further confirms the fact that most iPhone users are more affluent than android users. Also furthers the fact that when I am at any airport all I see are iPhones. Rarely ever see an android phone at airports.

I've seen more people with android phones at airports.

The age thing matches my observations. At work, all the under 40 people have android phones, but all the really old people have iPhones.

all the PMs here are over 40 and have droids. the owner has a thunderbolt. these are educated, degreed engineers and master electricians. the only iphone in the building belongs to the part time college student chick that does data entry.

the list is inflammatory for sure, and not really based on real world stats. how many people here would even sign up for a site that is based on taking surveys for data mining? that mindset is totally different than mine for sure.

It's far more a picture of how people like to see themselves. Android = unpretentious, salt of the earth type nerds to peers, pointless individualists devoid of sophistication to the other camp. iOS = cool sophisticates (but very homogenously so) to peers, pretentious vacuous twats to people like me

Exactly. This is what this persons views himself to be, which we all know is not always how that person is.

Obviously not all of the parts on the infographic fit this.

It's like kids listening to alternative music in the 1980's. The name says you are an individual but everyone wants to be part of the herd

It's pretty much like anything be it sporting teams, political parties, clubs, etc. Some people want to be a part of one while denigrating the others in order to rationalize their own decision.

The iconographic is utterly pointless for the purpose of examining any one individual. The odds that a person fits it to a tee are astronomically low. Even small groups of people can be drastically different. The sample size is quite large, but there's no indication that it's an accurate representation of the general population so the whole list could be bunk from the start.
