My SB order still shows "not available" and I ordered 10/1. Has anybody that had a status of "not available" received their order? If so, how long did it take. I know that Dells order tracking is often unreliable, but I want this thing yesterday. Actually, I will be happy if I get it in time enough to get the free extended warranty.

For some reason none of the Dell purchases seem to get recorded. Free shipping ends tonight (don't know if they'll have another free shipping offer to replace it right away). Also, on avs forum I read that the wholesale price for the X1 is $900 so Dell may not be happy about selling these with both coupons ;)
I did the same. $778 including CA tax + $7.50 for both coupons. I HATED paying for coupons, but hell, they saved me a combined $280.00. I picked the right guy on ebay since he sent the codes seconds after getting the paypal allowing me to get free shipping. Thats another $11 savings. I really don't need this thing. Damn Hot Deals. My warped logic to pull the buy trigger was that I was saving $ by getting use of the screen, VGA switch, cables and DirecTV HDTV receiver that I have lying around . Now just hope that I get it prior to 10/31 for the additional warranty. I am going to sign up with Dell with tons of catch all email addresses to my domains. I may go into the coupon biz.

Just got ebates confirmation for $14.39 credit. Brings me down to $771.73, coupon cost included. Not bad at all. Now if the damn thing would arrive.

Dell tried to scare people into cancelling their orders, threatening long delays until Thanksgiving. They even went so far as to say they would "cancel automatically" if you didn't respond by 10/14. I didn't buy this threat and sent an e-mail saying I was willing to wait. Guess what, it shipped 10/13, within 24 hours of when I sent the e-mail saying I would wait. Someone called Infocus a week ago and found out they had plenty of projectors, so Dell's threats were nothing but hot air.

Anyway, good luck. I have this projector and love it, especially with HDTV (you need a decoder obviously.)

I don't know how some of you have your projector's setup but I'll give you a run down of mine. I have an old Sharp XGNV1U projector, 800x600 about 600 lumens, nothing fancy. I have a computer with a sound blaster live 2 card in it. This runs to a D2A2+ VGA splitter with one line running to the projector and one to the computer's monitor. Then I have a vcr with cable hooked up to it, a dreamcast, ps2, xbox, and gamecube all attached to a Sony DDS receiver. Then all of the sound and video including the computer's is run thru the receiver. All I have to do is switch the input on the receiver to change between devices. Works great. I can do anything I want on the projector, play games from console or computer, watch movies from vhs or dvd from computer. I have a 5.1 speaker setup with a very large screen setup about 20' from the projector. Tiger Woods 2004 looks AWESOME on it. It took awhile to get it all setup originally especially controlling all of the wires. But now that it's done it was so worth the afternoon's worth of time to set it up. I never turn on my tv. Let me know how you guys have your's setup. Thanks!

I also got the email saying that the projector would be delayed until 11/20 asking if I wanted to cancel the order. I emailed them saying I would wait. It showed up today. It came with a standard plug (not European as kassaam received). However, it's a lot louder than I thought it would be.

Some people are sensitive to the rainbows while others are not. The rainbows are a problem with most DLP projectors.

If anyone is looking for a nice ceiling mount look at an ebay seller named mikeyt999. I am not this guy, but he seems to have some nice mounts for $64 shipped. This is the least expensive custom mount I have found. Mine is on the way.
