InFocus Ultra-Thin 61" DLP HDTV with Blender $2500

personally i dont think thats that great of a deal...The blender is a POS...LOL

Really. The tv isnt that great to be honest

I have seen one of these sets (actually the RCA version) in person, and was very disappointed in the image quality. Although I like the IDEA of the built-in Web browser, it doesn't have a hard drive and can't accept cookies, so your browsing experience is very limited - it seems much better just to haul off and use a HTPC.

Conjecture: You've never seen this TV.

This TV is a great buy at $3k. It is a steal at $2.5k.

I have it and I love it.

As suggested, the browser is very limited, but it has a cool factor to it. Also, with a connection to your router, the TV periodically downloads new software.

If you are in the market, buy it. You won't be disappointed.

How much for the Samsung and what size?

Tom

if I decide on a New TV.. it'll be definitely LCD. It won't get as big as the DLP but I wont have to worry about the bulb burning out too quick.

Well theres new dlps this year that uses leds. Samsung hp and akai are going to sell them. The akai model has a msrp of a lil over 2g's. They claim the leds have a lifetime of full brightness to 20000 hours that is not a typo. Plus no color wheel!

Led Dlp

I was considering buying this TV for $2499 when I found it on sale. Unfortunately, the picture and overall quality of the set was nothing short of terrible. If you search several respected AV sites others have had similar thoughts and expierences. I encourage anyone here thinking about pulling the trigger on this set to do their research. Don't impulse buy, especially something like a 61' TV.....

I currently own the Samsung 61 and absolutely love it. It can't touch my Optoma H30 in the size department, but that's another story 😉

Samsung, I doubt, has a 61" DLP for $2500.
You can impulse buy a 61" TV if you have cas hto burn, some people do.

The LED TVs are not like the SED TVs taht Toshiba is making.
