I was bumming around at my local OD and saw the Infocus LP130 on clearance for $599. How good is this projector? I haven't found too many reviews comparing it to some of the newer, entry-level projectors (X1, Dell MP2200). It supports a higher native resolution(1024x768) 1100 Lumens but only 400:1 contrast ratio. I believe the X1 and Dell are about 1700:1? Anyways. can anyone comment on this guy? Mainly I'm planning on using it for DVDs.

See here for some info on the LP130: Projector Central

The pros are that it's light, supports XGA (1024 x 768).

The cons are that contrast is only 400:1 compared with 2000:1 on the X1, does not support EDTV (480p progressive scan), bulb life is 2000 hrs compared to 4000 hrs for the X1, no Faroudja deinterlacing chip.

This sounds like a good price on a presentation projector but it may not do well as a home theater projector.
