They also have the IN24 which is a more business oriented PJ for $599AR or skip the rebate and get a free backup lamp.

I think this was casually mentioned in the Optoma H31 thread.

 for another good projector deal

I was thinking about this projector as I owned 2 Infocus projectors before...bought the Sanyo PLVZ4 instead as it was HD...Infocus is a great brand

No to HD.

It is an update to the wildly popular InFocus 4805, of which one I have.

The resolution is the same as regular DVD so it will display standard DVD at full quality, and frankly, that looks real good.

If you are like me and have limited interest in HD then this projector is a steal at that price.

I gave $999 for mine with a 76" screen precisely one year ago and couldn?t be happier.

*4805

I got in on a 4805 + 76" deal too from costco. 2 years ago for me though. Mine developed some fan noise and costco was happy to take it back which gave me the opportunity to switch over to a Panasonic AE900U.

The 480p DLP projectors are great if you're going to be watching mostly DVDs and they're quite good for HD sources too.

Oops, yes 4805, was in a hurry to get to supper.

For 15 years I had been a Mitsubishi RP fan. The day I bought the front projector was one of the best days in my home theater life.

The screen size vs dollar value that front projection provides is unbeatable. I will *never* go back to RP. And when the LED models get here the only drawback will be gone (Lamp assy usually cost $300-400 and are typically rated for several thousand hours. I?ve put a little over 1,000 on mine in one year)

The scene in You, Me and Dupree with Kate Hudson in the black 2 piece looks *real* good when she is life-sized.
