Ok...other post was way too long. I got mine yesterday. Smaller than I expected...kinda cool. Well, since some of you are waiting on your NOMAD II and they gave you 10.00 credit, you may wanna save it for their next promo...and it'll be 10.00 cheaper. Maybe next time it'll be 50.00-10.00 for the Nomad II 64MB...wouldn't that be great...

Credit doesn't apply to promotions. It's the amount that they charge to your credit card that counts. So next time you'll need to buy $60 worth of music.

fr: Correction. Next time youll need to *pay* for 50$ worth of music. there is a difference between paying for 50$ and paying for 60$. the extra 10 is credit but you would still need to spend the same amount. That is, of course assuming there is another promo and the price is the same.

hehe - don't worry about getting your mp3's on the player.. it has a radio built in.. heck you can even play some music and record it with the built in "voice recorder"

just kidding..
I think I saw one of those cards at compusa, try them, I am almost positive they have ATX form factor cards.

Man, I tried to get home before UPS delivered my NOMAD... I was too late. I felt like crying when I read the sticker they left on the door "Next scheduled delivery: July 5"

I sure did want this for JULY 4.

All the other ones are around 50 to 100, and this guy got his up to 250... lucky seller, hes sure commin out with a great deal.

I think it could be that it's actually a retail version of it..sealed in shrinkwrap. I think the ones we're getting aren't sealed in plastic wrap..just have a "promotional sticker" sealing the top of the box. Correct me if I'm wrong..

Makes you wonder though..why someone would pay an extra $100+ for something with plastic wrap around it. You really can't tell by searching active auctions on how well something's going to do..most of the time it's become a sniper war at the end on e-Bay now. Best bet would be to search completed auctions.

Mine came shrinkwrapped, with the promo sticker underneath.

Could be that the guy is busy jacking up the price on the auction by puttin in fake bids?

Wow..there's a lot of them up. Really stinks for those of us on the East coast who still have to wait another 3 or 4 days to get them.

I like some of the things people describe in the auctions. Like "In Original Promotional Unopened Package".."I got this item as part of a promotional deal, so there is NO "retail" box that comes with."..or my favorite "NOTE: Please ignore the ?NOT FOR RESALE? stickers placed on the box. This is a completely new, factory sealed Nomad II." hah. Surprised e-Bay didn't close that last one..

Anyway, hopefully there will still be a market for one for those of us who wish to sell it and purchase something else. At least there's only 5000 of 'em out there, right?
