My father has a couple of old stock certificates that he found on a great uncle's farm (oil companies) that are dated in 1916 & 1917. As far as I can tell, the companies are most likely now defunct. Is there a way to trace them down though. I understand sometimes companies are merged and lose their original identity but I am curious about these. One is the Weesmer Royalty Company of Braman Oklahoma and the other is The Boston Oil and Gas Company of Airzona. Any ideas or info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

let us know how it turns out!

Thanks for the info folks. I will contact my dad and see what he wants to invest for this info. Personally, I think it is worth a shot. Heck, I've gambled much more away in one sitting than it would cost him to find out. His odds are better too! :D
