Fairly hot deal if you are like me and looking for bass from a small package

ok easy PM and you can get it from www.SoundDomain.com -

I pm'd to this website http://shop.store.yahoo.com/vipmobileonline/inbasslink.html (somewhat sketchy yahoo website)

all you have to do is goto their website click on the pricematch link on the right hand side of the screen - and give them the link.

they send you a coupon code after they approve - shipping is fairly reasonable too (considering its a LARGE package).

from experience it does sound pretty good, its a little on the weaker side even for just one 10. If you can get something decent it will sound better than this. I out grew it and now have 2 12's. Nothing special got a cheap amp and 2 cheap fosgate speakers. 140 total. So you be the judge

It is a good little for package if someone is really tight on bass, doesnt want to spend a lot of cash, or just needs a little more bass in their car.

Bump for good deal.

From time to time the Sony SW-40 shows up at good prices (was like $129 shipped from Sony rewards site, typical is about $50 more) and most people say its a great first home sub, especially if yank the speaker and put some stuffing in the box.

For a car I have to say I love my Bazooka CS8A5, which was about $200 including a good professional install (bought during an insane free shipping deal at Returnbuy.com). IMHO this is the perfect factory add on, it plugs into your factory wiring harness at the back of the radio and runs the signal to the Bazooka Sub, which has a crossover that sends like 80 hz and up to 4 amps (25 wpc) and then back down the wiring harness to area of the radio and hooks to the factory speakers and factory wiring, bass below like 80 hz goes to a 100 wpc amp and to the 8 inch bazooka driver. So how loud and how low? First off without the bass killing the factory speakers they sound WAY better and louder. In my hatchback mustang (ideal to load the bazooka in a rear corner) I can basiclly turn up the bass until it is in serious pounding volume.

RE two 12" drivers in a normal car.
IMHO a total waste of money, point 1 being that a "good" 12" should have and take 300 watts per driver, and crank out over 140 Db. Without serious money in the other speakers, and a CLEAR hearing hazard, the music is going to be 30 db lower in volume that what the subs can do. A single 10 or 12 inch driver in a correct box and in the correct location should be PLENTY, the rest is lost trunk space and money in the dealers pocket.

bump for the morning

most people would agree that the basslink is better quality than the bazookas :)

remember the basslink isnt for "pouding" its gonna give tight bass - but not rattle your windows

I dunno what kind of basslink you guys have but the one I've got, if I turn it up all the way. It shakes the cars next to me, with my trunk open that is... For the size, money. It can not be beat... Very hot deal, I paid $240 from juggle something or other(some other yahoo store) about a year and a half ago. 50 bucks less makes this sub look all the much sweeter...

I got one of these a couple eyars ago for about the same price, I have been quite happy with it... like others said, its not the heaviest bass in the world, but if you want to add some tight clean bass, rather than overpowering, its not a bad deal for everything in 1 package...

I thought the basslink was there self amplified semi home subwoofer. It always looked more like a home subwoofer than one for your car. I would suggest 2 kappa perfect 12's they sound great and I have been thumping for almost a year with two and I listen to a lot of trance and hip hop/rap. If your an audiophile get kappa perfects if ur not then it really doesnt matter what you get. That my problem I am too much of an audiophile and hate it when music sounds bad because I have music that sounds sooo good. You judge for yourself.

look the point is that this is a SMALL subwoofer; its not gonna cost you alot of space in your trunk. If you autox you will be able to pull it out quickly too!

Another thing to think about, with theyou Basslink you get great sound from a very small package. It's MUCH lighter that the standard cheep 2-10", box, & amp setup also and takes up less space. This is something that you can easily leave in your car when running 1/4's.

Very light, excelent sound, small footprint, built-in amp, and great price.

I love reading responses from people who think they are audiophiles... so lets see... Riddle me these:

1) what type of car do you have?
2) What type of system do you have in said car
3) where are your speakers located?
4) what type of box are your two subwoofers in?
5) where are they located?

People us the term audiophile way too much. I will admit that maybe you have enough ear to hear what a crappy system sounds like compared to a decent system. With that said, you probably have tuned your vehicle to produce a decent sound that you are happy with. But to say that you are an audiophile with 2 12" infinity subs is almost oxymoronish.

I'm sorry, but its a pet peave (sp?) of mine after spending 10 years in the industry on the other side of the counter.:frown:

My friend has one of these, definitely decent for what you are paying and what you are getting.

Small cars really don't need all that much. I run a single JBL 10' with MTX 200watts bridged amp in my tiny corolla, and the bass are hitting it. Spent about $250 for the backsetup (box, amp, speaker). Single 10' enclosure isn't all that big so there is still a lot of space in the trunk.

If you are on a tight budget and don't want to do too much work on the car and running wires all over the place, this product is perfect for someone who's looking into "everything out of the box" kinda deal. It'll suffice your needs or most people's needs per se.
